Hi there! I'm Megu from Tokyo, Japan. These days, I'm enjoying exploring different parts of Japan more deeply — and I also love traveling abroad when I can! I work as an environmental consultant, mostly remotely, so you'll often find me working from home or a cozy café somewhere in Japan (or even overseas). Through Couchsurfing, I’d love to meet new people, share fun experiences, explore the area together, and enjoy some delicious local food! When I travel, I like waking up early to wander around before the crowds arrive — it's a great way to get a feel for the local vibe. I studied Environmental Management at university, with a focus on waste issues, and I’m always curious to learn how different countries tackle environmental challenges. So if you’re interested, I’d love to hear about the environmental situation in your country too! Looking forward to connecting!

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing because I want to broaden my horizons and connect with the world! I love traveling abroad and meeting people from different cultures — it’s always exciting to learn about new customs, perspectives, and ways of life. For me, Couchsurfing is the perfect way to meet new friends, explore new places, and keep discovering something new every step of the way.

Teach, Learn, Share
I’d be happy to teach you some Japanese — the language, culture, and what Japanese people are really like! I can also share stories and tips from places I’ve lived in or traveled to, especially Kyoto, Okinawa, Hokkaido, Ishikawa and Tokyo. In return, I’d love to learn about your country’s culture, hear your personal stories, and if possible, pick up a few words or phrases in your language!
