My perfect Sunday morning: not having to set an alarm clock, slowly wake up, get dressed and head into town for a nice brunch with friends. My favorite word: "Gezellig", typically Dutch word that has no exact translation. Favorite place to be: Schiphol Airport. On my bucket list: Transsiberian Express, to see the Northern lights, making a road trip through Southern Europe, working abroad, buy my own apartment. Last trip I made: A few days Malaga and Granada (Spain). Good quality: according to my friends I am loyal, sweet and can listen very well. Bad quality: I can be impatient and I love to be right. My favorite dish to make: Nasi Goreng (Indonesian cuisine). I collect: cook books, fridge magnets and stickers (to put on my suitcase) from the places/countries I visited. Lesson learned in live: Try to be yourself, make the ordinary extraordinary and be patient.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
It's always a pleasure to make some new friends around the world and meeting with locals is a great way to find all hidden treasures in their cities. I am planning a trip to Norway this summer to learn the Norwegian language. Because I believe learning by doing would help me to improve my skills, so some friends told me I should sign up for Couchsurfing. So I did.
Teach, Learn, Share
If you would like to learn Dutch or English, I can help you with that. I would love to speak Norwegian. I also took a Spanish course (long time ago), so it would be a good thing for me to practice that ass well. And I guess that when you need some communication advice, I would be able to help.
My Interests
My friends and family are important to me. I love hanging out with my friends. Watching movies, wining and dining, going out, picknicking in the park/at the beach and all that kind of things. I have a big family and although we don't see all of each other every week we always have a few annual family events all cousins, uncles and aunts attend. I love that. As much as I enjoy spending time with the people I love, I also enjoy "me-time". Then I could do absolutely do "nothing". Just relaxing on my sofa, drinking some wine and watch series, movies, listening to music or reading a book. I also love to cook and try new recipes. I have this thing that I start reading recipes in my cook books on a rainy day while having my morning coffee. I chose some of the recipes and will make them later that day. So relaxing! But as much as I do like to do "nothing" and relax I really enjoy working (out). I like to be challenged and be creative with my mind. And afterwards for me kickboxing is the way to get rid of stress and energy. Yoga and going for a run in the city, the forest or at the beach clears my mind. Recently I found out I also like to travel alone. It is a great way to be completely yourself and meet new people which I would not have met that easily when going with my friends.
