I'm a student traveling around Europe for the summer and hopefully the rest of the world for the remainder of my life
Interested in Art
Interested in Books & Literature
Fluent in English
Learning Greek (modern)
Why I'm on Couchsurfing
To learn from people and places as much as I possibly can. To spend time with other, perhaps more seasoned, travelers and exchange stories.
Music, Movies, and Books
Anything written by Kurt Vonnegut or Oscar Wilde, Confederacy of Dunces, Catch 22, The Master and Margarita, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Invisible Man, etc.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I researched the impact of human interaction with the environment in the Galapagos Islands for a summer, still by far the best experience I've had
Teach, Learn, Share
I would really like to learn how to cook a wider variety of food. I myself have (relatively) mastered a few dishes but am looking to expand beyond that! I'd also enjoy learning new phrases in various languages, and wouldn't mind new literature/music suggestions
My Interests
In terms of my studies, I'm interested in environmental science and city/regional planning. That being said, living sustainably is of course very important to me and I try to be out in nature as much as I can! Mountains are home to me and always give me the sort of nostalgic feeling I can't conjure from any other setting. I've played soccer for many years and enjoy doing yoga. Generally, I've always been interested in other cultures that are nothing like my own and learning what I can from them! I'm always appreciative of a good conversation.
