Whoever you are — thanks for crossing paths with me. ————————————————————————————————— Hi, I’m ‘Peetikarn’ — but people from Thailand call me ‘Boss’ as my nickname. I’ve been drawn to multicultural experiences since I was young. When I was 17, I had to accompany my mom — who doesn’t speak English — on a month work trip to the United States. That trip unexpectedly became the moment that opened my world. Since then, backpacking and exploring different cultures has been a big part of my life. Travel has been my classroom. I’ve met amazing people and learned fascinating things along the way, and for me the best part is always the conversations and shared experiences. So far I’ve traveled across 6 continents and more than 70 countries, and I’m always curious about the next place. These days I run my own small real estate business and recently graduated with a PhD in Management. When I have free time, I look for new experiences — backpacking somewhere new, taking interesting courses, or meeting people at events. I also enjoy hiking upcountry and going to the gym. Why I'm on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing gives me the chance to meet people from different cultures, religions, genders, ages, and backgrounds — sometimes while traveling together in different places around the world. I believe this space is one of the rare places where strangers can come together and create meaningful experiences, often the best ones happen with people we’ve just met.

I enjoy reading books about self-development, personal finance, philosophy and psychology. I like easygoing music: mostly pop, the kind you can listen to anytime. Songs that are either a bit heartbroken or simply feel-good. For movies, I’m a fan of romantic comedies… or sometimes the opposite extreme — those overly emotional, dramatic ones that make feel everything.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

I’ve donated blood more than 100 times. Back in school, I also led a blood donation campaigns that collected over 1,000 units, hopefully helping save many lives. I’ve also spent time volunteering in different parts of the world: helping elderly people in Fukushima, Japan; assisting kindergarten and elementary teachers in San José, Costa Rica; teaching underprivileged children along the Thai–Myanmar border near Chiang Mai; and supporting cultural activities as a volunteer in Brno, Czech Republic. Along the way, I’ve also worked on a few academic research that, in tiny ways, try to connect some dots in the academic world.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can show you some basic weight training if you’re interested. I once completed a Certified Personal Trainer course in Thailand, so I know the basics. I can also teach you some random (and sometimes silly) Thai words and share little insights about Thai culture. For example, many Thai people don’t actually eat Pad Thai as often as foreigners think. And when we ask “Have you eaten yet?” it often just means “How are you?” I’m also someone who enjoys listening. If you feel like sharing stories about your life, I’m happy to sit and listen without judging. Quite a few hosts I’ve met ended up telling me stories they’d never really shared before.

What I Can Share With Hosts

Since I recently moved back home outside Bangkok, it’s a bit difficult for me to host. I live with my family and there are quite a few people in the house, so it’s not always convenient to have guests stay over. But I’m always happy to hang out, grab food, show you around, share stories, or just spend some time exploring the city together.
