Why I'm on Couchsurfing
Two of my five grown kids play on "Townies," a competitive coed Ultimate Frisbee Team in Ithaca, NY. I help out the team by finding inexpensive housing for them when they are on the road so they can have fun at a sport they all love.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Jazz, Jazz, Jazz, Reflective, meditative rock, R&B, Instrumental, Gospel. No country. Movies: Finding Forrester, INDY, 100 Mile Journey, Documentaries with social justice themes.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Raised five kids! Co-founded "Building a Better Community," a very successful cooperative that addressed racism in our region. A focus was hosting Study Circles on Racism for the community. Our advocacy work resulted in many positive changes for people of color.
What I Can Share With Hosts
"Townies" is a competitive, coed Ultimate Frisbee Team from Ithaca, NY. The core of the team played on Cornell's Division 1 Ultimate Team before graduating and now play on Townies. Those Couchsurfing are looking for a bed for the night. All day, they will be at the local Ultimate Frisbee Tournament.
