I'm retired from a career in construction; property management; building technology which included teaching undergrad and; grad students at Eastern Michigan University. I live with my partner Olga, a retired molecular biologist from Moscow who came to the U.S. in 1991 in the first wave of Russian scientists when "Glasnost" created an opportunity. We live on a small six-acre farm outside of Ann Arbor, Michigan with our two black labs Aries and Gida and a tailless cat named Ivan. We raise and hybridize new varieties of chickens and flowers. We are passionate defenders of the environment and are working to restore the natural habitat of our property which lies in a wooded wetland. We have green and blue herons, and all kinds of wildlife which we enjoy watching and listening to. We both love to read, meet new people, learn new things, and to travel. We live only five minutes from Saline and twenty minutes from Ann Arbor so all kinds of necessities are nearby.
