I am a retired primary school teacher from England originally, but now living in rural Colombia with its amazing biodiversity and perfect climate all year round. I moved to Colombia in June 2018 but my Spanish is still very basic! I share my home with my partner Gabriel who was born locally. He works long hours as a dentist so my main daytime companions are two dogs, one cat and a growing brood of free range chickens. Our home is a simple rural Colombian home with occasional visiting wildlife (bats, birds, insects, frogs, lizards but very rarely do we get snakes and never in the house). We have some European-style home comforts such as a dishwasher! We have a large garden with a good variety of fruit trees and an area for growing vegetables. I love travelling and experiencing different cultures and lifestyles. Over the next ten years I hope to visit all countries in Latin America.
