Hej, I'm Peter and live in Nijmegen with my wife and two rabbits. I like to travel by long distance trains, preferably sleeper trains. I'm interested in discovering more of Eastern Europe and Scandinavia. Either at home or travelling, I love going to concerts & festivals, to take photos (see https://www.instagram.com/pdbrinkman) to enjoy a drink every now and then. I like cycling, swimming, rowing and the good old walk in a forest.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE Just a bit. Though I've surfed and hosted many friends before joining this great project. I've couchsurfed in Berlin, and I've been on an incredibly lovely couchsurfing trip throughout Sweden! Had a few couchsurfers here in Nijmegen.
Music, Movies, and Books
I really enjoy most sixties and seventies music, as well as a wide variety of modern music. Some of my favourite artists include Sigur Rós, Band of Horses, Bright Eyes, Kent, The Weakerthans, John K Samson, The Album Leaf, Ólafur Arnalds, Placebo, Last Days of April, The Beatles, Supertramp, Pink Floyd, Boudewijn de Groot, Explosions in the Sky, M83, Radiohead, Yann Tiersen, Johnny Cash, Damien Rice, Patrick Watson, Lowgold, I Am Kloot, dEUS. I really love European movies. Favourite movies inlcude Trainspotting, Heima, The Graduate, Coma, Control, Adam's Apples, Tillsammans, Fucking Åmål, Det Nya Landet, Jalla! Jalla!, Goodbye Lenin!, Evil Dead II. For some reason I'm not that much of a reader, although I really enjoyed some books such as High Fidelity by Nick Hornby, Before She Met Me by Julian Barnes and Frank Zappa's autobiography.
