Fulfilled mission: Explorative journey around the world. We are a couple and we did couchsurfed on our Trip around the World from July 2009 till January 2010. From there on we are on a different trip which is called marriage and parenting. We have two great kids and are exploring every moment of their passion for the World and learning how everything works and exists. We were teachers at the Waldorf secondary school and actually made the trip in order to collect materials and experiences to be used as a base for teaching in classes. Jan teaches geography and sports. Petra teaches social science including philosophy, sociology and psychology. We believe that change is the active factor of life and that we need to work on improving ourselves in order to change the World. We currently live in a small village close to Prague. Enjoy the nature and woods. Observe the changing aspects of the natural sorroundings. Learn to stay quite and provide support to each member of the family when having trouble being overwhelmed by strong emotions. We are learning how to combine our personal lives with the family one and working lives. Every day is an adventure.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE We have joined couch surfing at the beginning of our trip back in July 2009 and have been hosted in Russia, Korea and USA in Seattle. It is a great way of meeting people and sharing experiences of life. We would like to use this way of traveling especially for its social aspect and the possibility to meet locals and get to know their way of life in different countries. Right now we don´t have so much opportunities for travel. The house we were building is finished therefore we decided to offer our home to any surfers that would like to explore the beutiful sourroundings of Prague and the Brdy woods. I´t s and amazing corner you definitelly should visit on your stay in the Czech Republic.

Everyone is a master and a student at the same time. Sharing and exchanging experience is very enriching.
What I Can Share With Hosts
We can offer the host to be a tour guides of the beutiful region we live in close to the Brdy woods. We can suggest trips especially during the Summer. We can also take them to a trip to Prague, possible on weekends. We can share experiences from the travels we have done, show photos, make a good tea. Play instruments together: drums, bells, tibetan bowls etc.
My Interests
Petra likes anything that has to do with culture and art. Specially the ancient cultures and art. But also modern theater, she is also an amateur actress. She likes to meet new people and understand their way of life. Jan is interested in photography. He is taking pictures from the places visited during the trip. He has also traveled many countries alone. He loves to capture the moment with perfect light. He especially takes pictures in desert. His photos are very artistic more like a painting than a photograph. You should see it.
