Hello, my name's Raf. I lived, until recently, in Edinburgh, Scotland. I just moved to live in a small village near shrewsbury where I live in a housing co-operative - I'm also a member of an unhoused co-operative in Edinburgh which is looking for a house. I like gardening, cycling, football (Celtic FC, Liverpool and Hapoel Tel Aviv) and learning languages. I also like listening to and playing music, mostly indie/punk/alternative stuff (Leatherface, The replacements, Superchunk, Martha, RVIVR... that kind of thing). Sometimes I organise small DIY gigs/concerts too. I enjoy reading, a lot of political non-fiction - anarchist theory and history in particular. I only really got into harry potter last year.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I'm about to go on a trip to Germany and mainland Europe to places I don't know too many people. I'm hoping to find like-minded people and improve my German. I don't have a place of my own at the moment, but when the cooperative finds somewhere I hope I can offer people a place to stay again in Edinburgh, show them around the city to see some of the less touristy and more hidden parts of the area.

What I Can Share With Hosts
I can cook! I will happily cook for people in return for a place to stay, or I can teach a little piano/guitar, or English. I happy enough exploring cities alone and I'm not at all high-maintenance, but I really like to meet people who live locally and share similar interests too.
