Not that I take it as what defines me, but it's probably the easiest way to start... I'm currently doing my Masters in Philosophy and I'm currently staying 6 months in the USA, in the city of Buffalo, NY as a visiting scholar. Most of my time, though, I keep thinking if this is the right job for me. As I can't stop to think about it, I consider it to be a sign that I'm probably in the right field.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I actually want to be like Alexander Supertramp from the movie "Into the Wild", but I don't have the guts (just the boots) to go walking to Alaska Couchsurfing though seems to me to be the closest way to try! I also really enjoy interacting with the locals from the places I visit. These people can show you things no tourist book could. (Also, being a Philosophy student, I can't afford to go to hotels, or in some cases, even hostels)
Music, Movies, and Books
I will just add one of each and you guess which other things I probably like. Movie: Grizzly Man (from Werner Herzog) Books: the essays by David Foster Wallace Music: Bill Callahan
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Riding a kayak alone and sunburned on a rainy day without appropriate protection, crossing the safety line and falling off the boat.
My Interests
Currently I should say Ice-skating, as the Buffalo winter is coming. But books, movies and loitering around (I just learned this amazing word) are on top of my list. Of course, doing lists ispart of my interests too.
