After a crazy cycling/traveling adventure that ended with me living in Turkey for three years, I travelled back to the US slowly working on organic farms and doing exchanges in Europe. Now I'm back in the states and studying to be a Speech Language Pathologist. I love cooking, eating, and learning/talking about food. I eat everything, and I especially enjoy plant-based meals. Being active makes me happy. If you want to go hiking, cycling, dancing, running, climbing, etc., I'm down. I love doing creative projects. Re-using, repairing, or re-purposing something to be beautiful and functional is one of my passions.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I was attracted to Couchsurfing's community spirit--people helping strangers without expectation of return. I have met wonderful people through Couchsurfing and WarmShowers, and love sharing off-the-beaten-path places. (When I lived in the US, I was an active host with my partner at the time. We had shared profiles, and have since separated, so I am building a solo account now.) If you stay with me, I'm happy to give you information about the most popular tourist places, but I'll show you the everyday places that are special to me.
Music, Movies, and Books
I'm generally very eclectic. My recent interests include... Music: Estas Tonne, Two Wooden Stones, flamenco, Sia, and anything danceable. Movies: Stranger Than Fiction (it makes me smile so much), Lage Raho Munna Bhai, Sabrina (1995), most "geek" films Books: The Snow Leopard, Everything I Want to Do Is Illegal, The Dao of Pooh, Speaker for the Dead (Part of the Ender's Game Series), Name of the Wind (Kingkiller Chronicles), Nonviolent Communication: A Language of Life...
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I'm returning to my childhood love of climbing (trees, rocks, walls...). When I was visiting a friend in the US a year ago, he invited me to go tree-climbing with him. We climbed 80 ft (24m) up and sat at the top. As the breeze swayed us back and forth, and we watched the sunset, I sang in front of another person for the first time. The song ended with a beautiful silence and connection to everything. We climbed down the tree barefoot in the dark.
What I Can Share With Hosts
I am happy to share any of my interests and passions, attentive conversation, and help around the house.
