Why I'm on Couchsurfing
What intrigues me about couchsurfing is the opportunity to meet new people and cultures. Staying at a hotel only encloses you in a bubble whereas staying with real people gets you inside the real world.
Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Stephen King's THE STAND, Andy Weir's THE MARTIAN, Terry Pratchett & Neil Gainman's GOOD OMENS, Kim Stanley Robinson's RED MARS, Herman Melville's MOBY DICK. Movies (top four): The Dark Knight, Life Of Brian, Evil Dead 2, Bravehart. TV: X-Files, Doctor Who, Battlestar Galactica, The Simpsons... and such... Music: If it's going to be pop, then I'd take Goldfrapp. If it's going to be classic heavy metal then I'd take Hammerfall, and if it's going to be evil black metal, then Watain is my thing.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Visited Castle Bran (aka. Castle Dracula) this past summer and bought their wine. Was at the fantastic bar Ground Kontrol in Portland, OR.
