hey! i'm an american/english/canadian based in Berlin. I am primarily a violinist and improviser, playing swing and gipsy music from various european traditions, but have many other interests as well. i'm interested in religion, politics, music, philosophy. i like to go jogging, biking, walking, and play music with people. i perform with the flamenco band Konjaleo, and the Balkan music band Django Lassi. i have Toured Europe with various musicians, and love discovering new languages and cultures. you can find out more about me and see videos of me performing by googling my name.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
i have no experience couchsurfing, since i usually make connections through musicians i meet. but i like that couchsurfing allows people to connect in any way they choose, as opposed to say, airbnb.

One Amazing Thing I've Done
here's 2 - I saw the northern lights in the north of finland in janauary. and I performed with Pupi y Los qui Son Son in the Casa de La Musica in Havana, Cuba.

i think my take on life is fairly unique. i'm a strange combination of radical and conservative. I am very moved by anything that transcends or cuts through the hegemonic capitalistic mode of human interaction. I love traditional music, and handwork.
