I am self-employed, live in the Black Forest. I have 3 children and 5 grandchildren, have good contact with all. My eldest son lives with his wife and 4 children in the lower part of our house. The contact is good and tight. Also my daughter and my other son always come here to visit me. Family is important to me. I like to hike, go skiing in the winter, even like going to the theater or cinema. From time to time eat well. I often swim in the summer and enjoy my garden, including gardening.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I want to get to know the country and the people I visit in other countries or regions better. And I would like to immerse myself in the culture of other countries. This is not possible in a hotel. People who live there can tell me a lot, that's an asset. I can learn a lot and also get good tips. At the end of the journey, I drive home smarter than with an all-inclusive vacation. And maybe you have made new friends.

One Amazing Thing I've Done
Helpfulness in other countries, often unsolicited. Once I had to wait 5 hours at a train station, I was approached and a family invited me to their home. There was food and drink and communication, though none spoke the language of the other. That was a very nice experience.
What I Can Share With Hosts
I would like to talk, unfortunately my English is not very good. But with hands and feet and descriptions it will go and we could tell us some stories. I also like to cook, I would like to do that for ourselves. I also like playing games, chess, monopoly or settlers of Catan or similar.
