Catamarca, Catamarca, Argentina

I was born in the southwestern France, on the Atlantic coast. I have been living in the northwestern Argentina for the last 11 years. I'm an archaeologist and I work with a great team in the Puna region of Argentina (above 3.400m). I love the ocean and miss it a lot while in Catamarca. I like spontaneity, spending good time with good people, do some crazy things, and disconnect from the routine... I reaaaaaally want to bring more craziness in my life, fresh air, loud laughs and new friends (and more beer !) :) I have a wild kid, he loves to talk about everything (all the time) and he's a lovely person, I learn from him each day ! I like to go on music festivals, alternative economies and local development festivals, etc. I really like my job and all that regards archaeology and museology in general.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
We received people several times at home during the last years, mostly volunteers in archaeology who came to work with us in the Puna region of Catamarca. I found it so fun, meeting new people, chatting and exchanging experiences, sharing some beers/wines and 'asados'... I really like travelling but it's been difficult to me because of the local economy. Meeting new people with CS is like travelling a bit ^^

One Amazing Thing I've Done
Visiting the "French Colorado" by night (everything's grey.... maybe 50 shades of grey!?), getting on a canoa on a lake with the full moon, doing hitch hiking to Naples, learning scuba diving in Tailandia, archaeological excavation in a gold mine in Romania, sleeping 3 weeks on the Cyclades beaches... All of it with very good friends... that's what makes it "amazing"
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm studying to be a french/spanish translator. Actually, I'm always looking for learning, sharing, studying something, I like it, I think there's so much to learn and discover :) Like to grow all sorts of plants, and give it to my friends. Just starting with meditation, I'd like to share some experiences / talks.
