I come from Georgia and 20% of my country is occupied by Russia. *** Please, read my profile fully before sending me a couch request! *** Hi there, Some random facts about me: I love reading and I always have a book with me everywhere. Books are also my main source of income, as I translate literary fiction from English into Georgian. I love the sea. While swimming I feel free and confident, like that's what I'm meant to be doing. I think I should have been born as a mermaid. I love listening to music. My days are filled with sounds and I can't imagine my life without it. I love people. I think that every person has a whole universe inside them and we can be amazed by anyone, if only we take time to get to know them. I am against flirting while couchsurfing. I think it contradicts what CS is all about. Please, respect this when communicating with me. If I don't answer here on time, this is my instagram: schitadze

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I'd like to know more about other countries, cultures, languages, people. We can share so much with each other just by talking about our everyday lives. What's very obvious for you, might be completely new to me. That's the biggest charm of meeting people from other cultures. And I'm always looking forward to this exchange. I like the idea of trusting someone enough to let them stay at your home and trusting someone enough to stay at theirs. I think that if someone wants to really enjoy travelling and experience a new country, this is the only way to go.
Music, Movies, and Books
According to my Spotify wrapped my top genre is Indie Rock and my listening age is 78. I feel like this age suits me not just in terms of music. Some of my favourite movies: A Woman under the Influence, Past Lives. Nuovo Cinema Paradiso. The books I really like and come to my mind right now are: The Moon and Sixpence (Somerset Maugham), The Unbearable Lightness of Being (Milan Kundera), You Can't Go Home Again (Thomas Wolfe), Circe by Madeline Miller (I translated this book into Georgian 😊). I recently read every novel by Toni Morrison and I can't imagine loving anyone more. I also love Georgian authors: Nodar Dumbadze, Guram Dochanashvili, Otar Chiladze, Mikheil Javakhishvili...
