I am the proud owner of The Nash at Yale, a small, homey Bed & Bath located in New Haven's Goatville section of the East Rock Neighborhood. I live in the home and with the occasional help of a floating crew of friends personally handle all aspects of operations. The Nash at Yale is a true, owner-operated short-stay home. I am both passionate about providing the best possible experience I can for my guests. I appreciate thoughtful management and friendly service when traveling and believe it's important to you. To any allergic to cats: apologies; we have taken on a rescue cat, Kiki as resident feline. I've enjoyed France- Paris & Avignon, Costa Rica- San Hose, and the Pacific coast. Quebec & Montreal, St. Martinique, and various places in the states... I would love to go to parts of Asia, all over the Mediterranean, actually there are many places I'm interested in going to at this point... I love live music, and supporting my local bands, but the list of music I love is endless and diverse, moreover I love when a new or old friend introduces me to something I haven't yet heard, then, even when they're not around, when I hear that music, I think of them. Why I'm on Couchsurfing
While I hope to travel more in the not to distant future and would prefer staying at homes rather than hotels, my primary reason for starting this now is that since I am already host, there's an appeal to occasionally making a bed available, and essentially "giving it away" when possible, especially in my slower seasons. However, although I do have other small streams of income, since Hosting is a major part of my over all income, paying guests, or keeping a room available for even potential paying guest takes precedence over free and gift giving couch surfers. But the possibly of meeting different guests, guests than I currently get through my regular streams, and widening the dynamics and my experience as a host and who I get to meet and interact with has an appeal to it to explore!
