Hi, I'm Şeyma! :) I’m a Graphic Design student with a background in Sculpture, so my world is pretty much shaped by aesthetics and hands-on creativity. Currently, I work at a university museum, where I get to combine my love for history with my design skills. I’m an active member of the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) at my university, which means I’m constantly surrounded by international vibes. I’m a firm believer that the best way to understand a culture is through its people, its street art, and, of course, its food. I share my home in Izmir with my cat, who is the real boss of the house. I'm currently practicing my English, German and Russian, so I’m always down for a language exchange over some Turkish tea or coffee! This summer, I’m embarking on a 2-month solo Interrail backpacking trip across Europe. I’m excited to swap stories, explore hidden gems, and see the world through a local's eyes.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I’ve been a host couple times, and what I love most is the genuine connection that happens over a shared meal or a long walk through the city. Being around of the expat and Erasmus community in Izmir has shown me how beautiful it is to build bridges between cultures. For me, Couchsurfing isn't just about a place to sleep; it’s about sharing perspectives. Whether it’s cooking a traditional dish together or discussing trends, I’m here for the memories. :)
