I enjoy time with his family, cooking, fermenting, dancing, gardening, and music. I love traveling, languages, thinking about building houses and communities and landscapes. References are in my linkedin profile. I don't have references here because I just rejoined couchsurfing after years away. You can check my other social media sites to see that I'm not a bot. https://www.linkedin.com/in/choatethomas https://www.facebook.com/thomas1618 My profile at work: http://cdi.coop/about-us/staff/ https://twitter.com/t1618 More about me: I played drums until 22, when I quit the band (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Bright_Light_Social_Hour ) to work on a farm. Spent the following years visiting and picking up skills relevant to build an ecovillage, studying natural building with Sunray Kelley, and working with Kindra Welch (https://www.facebook.com/claysandstraw/). Along the way, got a masters at Penn, and taught myself to trade stocks and options, and became interested in organizational governance and interpersonal communication and conflict. Moved to Asheville, NC to build said ecovillage, Rising Commons. Joined a group of experienced affordable housing, real estate, and social-minded entrepreneurs for 10 months to develop a 250 home community with an attached ecovillage. Long story short, the project went sideways, I learned a lot, to say the least. I went back to working carpentry. A year later, my sweet heart and I are having a baby, and I'm working as a carpenter. Got a sweet job in southern Massachusetts, and here we are, moving to Rhode Island!
