born in the Tyrolean Alps, lost in Norway for 20-odd years. when Covid happened my wonderful husband and I relocated to his cute hometown of Mieres, Asturias. We're both tunnel workers working abroad (currently: Sweden), so we spend limited time together and are often travelling ourselves - which makes hosting tricky these days. But if we're around - make noise, we'll happily try to help/meet up!

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
i want to be a traveller, not a tourist. i CAN afford a hotel room, but i rather get a flavour of the country i'm visiting. i like company, partaking in local day-to-day life, being able to ask questions, get recommendations by locals... etc. stuff you wouldn't ask a receptionist at a hotel. i like to see myself as respectful and considerate, i bring my own sleeping bag and towel and am generally travelling light, so i wont take up much space. and i happily contribute to your household budget/shopping, help with cooking, cleaning, laundry, anything you would need help with around your place (i’m average intelligent and used to work with my hands. monkey see - monkey do.)
What I Can Share With Hosts
did you sign up for cs ten years ago and haven’t checked your profile the last ...seven? well, how about deleting it? it makes looking for hosts really tiring/writing messages pretty pointless... please give it a thought! if you’re looking to sleep around - no judgement, but please stick to other available websites and (literally) do not f*ck up cs for everyone else. i appreciate safe travels/feeling comfortable.
