Hello there, they call me Vlaďka, and as a couch collector (see photo) I can accomodate up to four travellers at a time. My house is on the route between Brno and Olomouc in the Czech Republic (in Moravia). Besides lots of couches, I also have a small pottery workshop at my home. I make my living as a potter, I arrange pottery courses as well. I’m not fluent in any foreign language; I can speak Czech, I understand Slovakian and I’m learning Polish. Hitchhiking round the Europe I have catched a lot of phrases and vocabulary from some languages, so… Have you ever tried to have a conversation using your hands, feet, theatrical gestures, puppets and a mix of vocabulary from about five world languages? It is funny! Anyone who wants to come overnight should know that there lives a disabled dog in the house who is incontinent (mainly on the stool). There is one and only rule – whoever first sees the shit he cleanses it. Anything else we can arrange.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
In fact I surfs couches for decades, starting in pre-internet era. In my early days the way to couchsuring was by meeting people on hitchhike trips. So here I am stepping in couchsurfing in the era of internet...
Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Atlas mraků (Cloud Atlas), Sedmá pečeť (Dest sjunde inselget) Poetry: Diane di Prima (especially in Jan Zábrana’s translation from Horoskop orloje anthology)
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I learned how to drive a car and earned my driving license. To pay back and give lift to other hitchhikers.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can let you peep in my pottery workshop and teach you basics of the craft. I can share black currant and gooseberries – depending on season.
