⚠️ Please notify me early. I am not always in Morocco. ---------------------------------- Also called Ibn Batouta. I lived in Morocco 19 years, then moved to Germany, then Madrid, then Taiwan. Currently back to Germany, where I'm writing my Master Thesis and working in Machine Learning and Cancer Genomics. Traveling has been feeding and freeing my soul for the last 4 years. I believe that fear doesn't stop death. It stops life. I have hosted many people primarly outside of CouchSurfing and especially in Morocco. I had people from Poland coming to my house. I also hosted other people through AIESEC from Algeria, Mexico, Germany, Egypt, and Hong Kong. Since I left Morocco and only rented a small place wherever I am, it was difficult to host people due to the lack of place...

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
Principally, to meet locals, learn other ideas, other perspectives, and other cultures. Hopefully, to spread meaningful ideas and give a glance of the Moroccan culture. "O humanity! Indeed, We created you into peoples and tribes ... so that you may ˹get to˺ know one another..." Quran 49:13
Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Quran, Meditations, Forty Rules of Love, Who moved my cheese, Tao te ching, the four agreements, Stealing from the Saracens, Sophie's World and a huge number of arabic amazing books. Music: Rap, Moroccan Genres: Rai, Chaabi, and the new deep house mix of old Moroccan songs.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Many things and would be happy to share these experiences ! The last one was living 3 days in an island not even on Google Maps (in Sulawesi, Indonesia), swimming with sharks, and deadly but lovely sea snakes, eating 100% bio food, giving the rest to a hungry eel.
What I Can Share With Hosts
- Teach languages. - Interesting conversations about politics, religion, philosophy, psychology, and history. Of course, computer Science too. Sometimes my opinions are controversial but very objective and I love hearing different opinions. - Cooking Italian and Moroccan cuisine. - Find a pleasure explaining misconceptions of Islam and answer any questions in this regard.
