Why I'm on Couchsurfing

For me, traveling is about meeting people, not just seeing places. I love connecting with different cultures, learning from others’ experiences, sharing stories, and discovering tips only locals can give. I use Couchsurfing because I believe in hospitality, honest conversations, and the friendships that naturally grow from them. I’m aware that some people use this app for dating or casual hookups—but that’s not my intention. I use Couchsurfing for its original purpose: to connect with kind, open-minded people from around the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I can share about Guatemalan culture—our traditions, typical foods (like pepián, tamales, atol), our colorful textiles, Holy Week celebrations, and the mix of Mayan and Spanish influences. I can also teach Spanish and share what I’ve learned about psychology and mental well-being. Learn: I love learning about how people live, their customs, new recipes, languages, and different ways of thinking. I'm very curious about what others can teach me from their life experiences. Share: Authentic conversations, curiosity, respect, and a positive attitude. I enjoy sharing stories, ideas, local food when possible, and always a warm smile.

My Interests

I’m deeply interested in psychology, different cultures, meaningful travel, and deep conversations. I enjoy learning from people’s experiences, getting to know their customs, how they see life, and how they live day to day. I also love art, traditional food from every country, books, languages, and the little details that make each place unique. I truly value mutual respect, empathy, and authenticity in every encounter.
