Radical optimist, pragmatic, versatile. Hey there! I’m Yasin. Originally from the beautiful, chaotic streets of Istanbul and Izmir, I am now based in Berlin. Having lived in Szczecin, Poland twice before, I’ve fully embraced a nomadic, exploratory rhythm across Europe. I've been in Berlin for a few months now, transitioning into the local rhythm and getting ready to explore the vibrant vibes of Kreuzberg. By profession, I’m an aquaculture engineer. My world revolves around aquatic life—working closely with aquariums, marine life support systems, and exploring underwater as a scuba diver. Water is my constant compass; I genuinely couldn't imagine living somewhere without a river, a lake, or the sea nearby. When I’m not tied up with water systems, you can usually find me at the gym—lifting is my absolute daily mental reset. I have a massive passion for European arthouse cinema, street photography (capturing the raw, hidden corners of cities), and I'm currently working on an amateur horror novel. My life always has a soundtrack, mostly hunting for new pop and alternative beats. I’m actively improving my German (and exploring a bit of Dutch!) to adapt to my European life. For me, traveling isn't just about checking off tourist landmarks; it's about finding the underground pulse of a city, taking spontaneous long walks, and sharing honest, deep conversations over a strong coffee or a solid slice of pizza. I’m always up for meeting authentic people, getting lost in new neighborhoods, and exchanging real stories. Looking forward to connecting in Berlin or on the road!
