How has the hurricane/typhoon affected traveling, staying, and transportation in HK? Any information would be helpful.

I'm probably late but no impact, really. I live on HK Island and every damage was fixed by the day after. There was more serious damage in some areas but it won't affect you as a tourist. Transportation and everything else is working normally as well :)
Hi Hesham,
Hong Kong is well-organised and everything here is fully functional.
There is a broadcast saying another Typhoon number 8 is coming this weekend so be prepared, you will be a bit wet but as long as you stay indoor, everything will be fine and you still find a lot to eat inside shopping malls, and you can stay chilled and shop around.
However, if you prefer to go to Macau where is near Hong Kong, I don't really recommend that at this time as they are still in the process of recovering from the last two typhoons happened in August.
Hope this help and have a nice trip in Hong Kong.
Best, Ling HK citizen
it seems to be another Typhoon visiting hong kong this Sunday. If we have a Typhoon signal No.8 or above, most of the buses would stop, while underground subway service would still on. how ever, everything would be closed, i don't think u can find a site visit open. things would reopen within 2-3 hours when the signal reduce to No.3 or lesser. Taxi would be very expensive too under Typhoon.
I have a boat trip tomorrow Sat :p
Sun I plan to hide at home though.
