You will also have the chance to improve your Spanish and enjoy the scenic view Ecuador has to offer. There are two teaching periods: • Long term position (10 months) – July 2017 through early March 2018 • Short term position (5 months) – July 2017 through late September 2017 • Application Deadline: We receive and interview applicants on a rolling basis

Program Details: • Teach English in Ecuador to disadvantaged students in public schools and make a difference. • Each volunteer teacher will work up to 40 labor hours per week. • Classroom teaching approx. 30 hours (45 minutes per class) and 10 hours pedagogical activities such as lesson planning, trainings, workshops, meeting with teachers or parents and other activities • Volunteers can teach either morning or afternoon shift. • Mandatory participation on the trainings, meetings and orientation • Teach up to 45 students per class (student age varies from 5 – 18 years old).

Requirements: • B2 English Certificate ( IELTS,TOEFL, FCE, or equivalent certificates from Ministry’s list) • Scanned copy of bachelor's degree or equivalent, or transcripts from a university (for students in their final years of studies), and/or English teaching certificate (CELTA, TEFL,TESOL) • Preferably with volunteer or teaching experience • Responsible, flexible, respectful, enthusiastic and patient • No criminal record • Medical Certificate • With valid passport of at least 1 year • * AKP (Aptitude, Knowledge, Psychology) Tests

• However, only one-way air-ticket will be provided from Ecuador to the corresponding country as stated on the contract. The volunteer will need to shoulder the flight from the country of origin to Ecuador.

Commitment To ensure the utmost commitment and completion of the agreed upon duration of program the volunteers are required to deposit 500 dollars.The 500-dollar deposit is fully refundable upon completion of contract. Under any circumstance that the volunteer decided to withdraw, cancel or violates any of the terms and conditions stipulated on his or her contract the 500-dollar deposit is non-refundable and immediate dismissal will be imposed on him or her. *Note if the volunteer opted not to deposit the 500 dollars they must pay their ticket and will be reimbursed in Ecuador but 500 dollars will be deducted from it.
