so called average salary is always higher than what majority of the people get. you can count with 17300, though. there's rather deflation in here, that's why national bank pushes koruna (our currency) to get weaker, so no need to worry about inflation at all. (no need to worry about deflation either, it's around 0 %) as for IT analyst, i have no idea, but 30-35K is very good money in here. honestly, young doctors can dream about that. :( generally, IT branch along with marketing are very well paid. can't wait to see you here, let me know when you're here :-)

Estoy de acuerdo con Richard, no tienes q preocupar con la inflación/deflación. Salario en IT depende ... creo q en un empresa multinacional (como IBM, RedHat, ...) es 30-35 (salario bruto) posible también para IT juniors , en empresa local y pequeña 19-25. I'd say 30k for IT analyst with one year of experience might be OK, for 35k you will have to look more intensively but it's possible as well

30k is quite enough. 5000-6000 CZK per month for single room in the shared flat, around 5000 CZK per year for the public transport (travel pass), 80CZK for the lunch (menu) in the restaurant. 25 CZK for one beer:-) You will enjoy it.

Money: If you're confident (some experience, degree in CS), you can start at 34K. You'll see. Take in account, that some companies might offer a little bit less money, but a lot better job and working environment (eg. IBM vs Red Hat). You can PM me for more info. Hi, as a CEO of small IT company I would say it strongly depends on your CV, your current knowledge and your ability to present and sell yourself. I might not be so optimistic about 35k, but 27-30k is surely realistic. Its still about 20-23k net which is quite enough for easy living. You will be surely asked about this on your interview, you should not be afraid to say what is your expectation but you should make it clear that you are open for discussion. The thing is you usually cant get more then you ask for (why would I pay you more when you are fine with so little). On the other hand you should not be completely unrealistic.

Besides all the info you alredy get, you might also want to know about common employee benefits. Almost all companies offer additional week of holidays, together with 20 days guaranteed by law its 25 (which is usually even hard to use). There were meal tickets quite common in past but in these days it becomes quite rare. You might get some discont for sport activities or hobies. Or if you are lucky you get 13th salary. Additionally you can expect some salary increase after the probation period which is typically 3 months (cannot be longer for your position by law). Increase might be 10-15% usually, but its not a rule.

One year experience is not much, so the offer could be 25k-30k, depending on skills. That's still good money allowing decent life.
