Hi, I'm in Calgary for just a day and half a night (early flight) September 18-19, I'm in Canada to visit my daughter (in Banff) and flying out of Calgary.

It would be great to meet someone who lives here and see a bit of Calgary while I'm here briefly, and ideally a place to sleep for just the one night, my flight's early the next morning so I'll be on a taxi early morning!

If you'd like to chat, I'm open-minded and interested in lots of things (e.g. sustainability, repairing stuff, alternative futures, music, natural building etc). My wife and I run a small sustainability education centre in Ireland, where I teach natural building, off-grid power and water systems, basic construction skills etc (it's www.dulra.org)

Although my couchsurfing account is rather sparse, originally when we joined couchsurfing as a family, we used the account @theclan (https://www.couchsurfing.com/c/en/users/THECLAN but I thought it best to use my own one for this trip, since my family are all grown up and I'm traveling on my own (to meet one of my grown-up children as it happens!)

Hello! I will be in Calgary around August 21-23 and looking for a host for two nights. In the morning, I will be going to Banff so I will be only there at night. In return, I will definitely share my travel stories and make you a Filipino dish. Hoping to connect soon.

We're Flo and Jamila from Germany, currently on a long backpacker journey from Patagonia all the way to Canada. Canada is completely new territory for us and we're really excited to experience the land and its people! We've signed up as volunteers for the Canmore Folk Festival (August 1–3, 2026) and will be helping out on-site. Since we don't have accommodation in Canmore ourselves, we're looking for a place to stay for those few nights – whether that's a couch, a spare bed, or even just a spot in the garden where we could pitch our own tent. Something that's important to us: we're not the kind of guests who just show up to sleep and are never around otherwise. We'd love to spend some time with you too – chatting, maybe cooking together, or just sharing stories from our travels.
