Moving to Charleston, WV

Hi!

I'm moving to Charleston and I haven't had much luck with searching for apts while in MT. I was wondering if folks had any ideas or suggestions on where to move. I am looking for a 2/bed 2/bath near downtown or within reasonable bikeable/walkable distance. Any assistance or advice would be gladly appreciated!

One thing I have noticed about this area is that you will find places mostly by looking in person or looking in AdFinder/ Traders Post/ etc. Charleston is basically west side (cheaper but has more crime), North Charleston (nicer, a little pricier but still decent compared to other places) and South Charleston (a bit more rural). If you dont mind living close to people than living in Charleston, downtown, would be good. If you want a bit more privacy or even just want to be further from the city Elkview (where I live) is ten minutes outside Charleston. St. Albans, Dunbar and Cross Lanes are all close by as well and are busier but have more stores and whatnot. That is going more west. Going east you have Belle, Marmet and Campbells Creek. All of these places are pretty close to Charleston if you decide not to live directly in the city. I know that the information you gave is a little different than what I posted but I hope this would help anyone who reads this because I have lived here a few years now and I was so confused looking for places when I first moved here.
