i certainly recommend to visit diyarbekir. this is an ancient city. the conflict is over now.
You can come without any fear. About 2 millions people are still living . And me is one of them, by the way my last thesis was about Catalonia and Elections for independence of it. It was very fantastic when I read and search about Spain and Catalan history. If you want to be here, I can share some experience with you
Hi! Although it is not as safe as it was before to travel Diyarbakir, I believe it is still worth a visit. Just come and have fun with some really friendly locals.

Dont worry you will like Diyarbakır, and i think you should see Mardin, 90km far away to Diyarbakır.
certainly you should visit and you should see many known and unknown historical places.But you should stay here at least one week for enough time to visit all..
