How many days would you recommend to stay in NYC?

Oh my gosh Ann-Sophie. How many days have you got? You could stay for months and still not see everything.
7-10 years should do it.

5 full days at a bare minimum and I am not factoring in time for the following:
MET
Museum of Natural History.

I would say at least 14 days. When you rush it in 7 or 5 days it is hard to appreciate everything that you are taking in. NYC is more than just museums. It has amazing restaurants, awesome shows, great parks, avid sports fans. I am a foodie, so I know places by the type of food in the area. I think from my experience traveling around the world that NYC is one of the most amazing places in the world.
Generally, I try not to invite Couchsurfers w;ho plan to spend less than a week with me because, although I am an experienced tour guide, it takes me that long to show even the most obvious highlights of New York City. Another reason is that I hope to forge friendships, and I cannot get to know much about people who stay with me less than a week. Joseph London
