Luzern, Bern, JungfrauJoch, Melide (Lugano), Zürich, Glacier Express, Zermatt
Ascona (in the Italian part of Switzerland) very idyllic , has a lake, good restaurants, amazing ! Montreux (french part of Switzerland) has a lot of shopping possibilities, nice lake, a lot of music festivals in summer! St. Gallen (german part of Switzerland) smaller city -has a lot to offer thoe, churches, shopping, best textile museum of Switzerland, famous old library ,..
Personally Id only skip through Luzern, it is so overrun with tourists...ZH is also only worth a quick visit...Switzerland for me is all about the outdoors, the mountains, the lakes, the delightful chalets/architecture...I love getting off the beaten trail...Graubunden is real Heidi style countryside...Try Appenzell a short distance from St. Gallen (lovely city itself)...which itself is a short distance from Lake Constance (known here as Bodensee) The houses in Appenzell area (not just Appenzell) are quite particular...Stein am Rhein up in north is stunning...Other nice towns are Solothurn (old part), Willisau (a drive through the Emmental area would make a great day out) ...of course Bernese Oberland is also stunning...
