El Clásico del Astillero
Dear Couchsurfing community,
I’m a football journalist from Germany and currently traveling through South America to explore the relationship between football, culture and society.
This weekend I will be in Guayaquil and would love to experience the big derby between Barcelona SC and Emelec. What interests me most is not only the match itself, but especially everything around it — the city, the people and the football fans.
Unfortunately I speak only very little Spanish, but I would still really enjoy meeting local football fans, having conversations and learning more about Guayaquil and its football culture.
At the moment I don’t have a ticket and I don’t know anyone in the city yet. As far as I have seen, it’s difficult to buy tickets online if you are not a member. So if someone is going to the match, watching it in a bar, or could possibly help me with buying a ticket, I would be very happy to connect.
