There is no cheap accommodation in London. There is a housing shortage and rents are high. You plan to arrive at the same time as thousands of other students, so it will be very competitive and hard to find a place. It would easier if you gave yourself some time by arriving earlier. Time to understand the geography of the city and how to find your way around by public transport. The further you live from the centre, the cheaper the accommodation, but the more expensive the train and tube fares. This is something Londoners have to deal with all the time. It is not easy.

Most Masters students pay for a student room provided by their university. They are not cheap, but they are often located close to the university.

Hi Maria It is accurate and correct that it is very difficult to find a cheap place to stay in London, or there is some extra factor involved if it is cheap. I would suggest living in a hostel for workers and students in London if you do not mind sharing a room with another female ?
