Hello! I am coming to Izmir by bus to the bus station and can't figure out how to get to the Basmane area from there.
Can you give some clues about any bus companies or number of buses going to the city center from Otogar? Thank you!

Hello, Which bus Company r u coming ? U can use free service just ask to somebody from bus. Or follow the people when get out the bus usually ppl going to service directly.

You are welcome to Izmir. If you travel via Pamukkale, you can use free central shuttle to Basmane without any payment, when you arrive bus terminal .
If you ask the assistant(host) in the bus when you arrive Izmir's bus station, he must show their bus company's extra bus service goes to all part of Izmir including Basmane as free. You dont need to find another public transport service to go to Basmane. You should just ask to Pamukkale company personnel. Have a good journey!

From the tlbus station easiest is bus shuttle but if you take bus to any metro station basmane is connected
There are two way to go to Basmane.
First your companies shuttle service. Just ask to bus assistant, if they have any shuttle service. If they have it, it's pretty easy to go there.
Second option is if your bus company do not provide shuttle service you can use public bus to go there. Number 302 directly goes to Basmane Gar. In Izmir we use Kentkart it's a prepaid card for the public transformation services. If you are going to use public transformation for your travel in Izmir it is pretty good investing. Just ask about the Kentkart in Otogar and buy it.

If you can't find company shuttle than you can use 302 to go to Basmane. It is good idea to buy IZMIRIM KART for to use the city buses for a better price and use free rights in 90 minutes. It is 6 Turkish Lira . Put 10 TL in it, thats enough for you. Enjoy İzmir!
