You should try the Old Town (Kota Tua) and Taman Mini Indonesia Indah.

you can go to Museum Nasional and Monumen Nasional, both are located in Central Jakarta. Taman Mini Indonesia Indah is a great place too showcasing the traditional houses of ethnic groups in Indonesia

Depends on what you like. Theme park? You can visit Dunia Fantasi (Ancol). Culture of Indonesia? Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) is a must-to-visit place! Art? You can visit presidential art gallery (only till 30 August). If you like some history, I suggest you to visit Museum Nasional or Monumen Nasional. And FYI, in average you can only visit 1 or 2 place a day since the traffic is really bad (TMII & Dunia Fantasi will take a day, no way you can visit another place during daytime after visiting those place). During the night you can enjoy culinary tour in various place in Jakarta (just google it, but one of my recommendation is restaurants in Mangga Besar, almost everything there are awesome). And trust me, the best food in Jakarta is not belong in Fancy Luxurious restaurant, but at the street vendors or small restaurant. Good luck!

Used city tour bus to go around jkt u can see monas-museum national (free, u can start from Grand Indonesia to find the suttled),go to jalan jaksa in sarinah, roof top (semanggi mall) for backpacker budget.cik ini they have old traditional cafe of jkt. Have fun on ur short holiday

National Museum is just not well preserved at all...

Place you could go with entry ticket :

• Ancol (the entry is approximately IDR 20000) It’s beach area, in here you could just stroll around enjoy the view and food. Or if you want to go an extra miles you could go to Dufan (theme park), seaworld, pasar seni / art market (free entry), atlantis water park, and marina bay.

• pulau seribu (bidadari island, tidung island, pramuka island) Well, you will need to rent a boat either from ancol or pluit bay to reach those island. They are a small island near by jakarta, it could be a nice one day explore and stay.

• fatahilla museum Located in jakarta old town, in this museum you could flash back to dutch colonial era

• gunung mas, bogor It’s outside jakarta, well in here you could do tea walk on a huge tea field, tracking, do paragliding, parachute, or visiting Kebun Raya Bogor (Bogor Botanical Garden).
