I heard sea freight (ocean connect or some sort) is way cheper than air shipment., but of course it'll be slower to arrive to the destination. I've been trying to look up information online but I don't know whether it's accurate or not. But it said it will cost around 500 USD per cubic meter to ship from Jakarta to Taiwan and it will arrive in one month.

But .... I haven't used this type of service before, I only read from the internet. So I don't know which provider is credible.

Actually , i am now considering other ways to reach these books , such as scanning in Indonesia then printing in Taiwan , asking my Taiwanese friend working in Jakarta for bring back to Taiwan , and so on . Do you know if there is any online shop or book store which sell second-hands books in Indonesia ? Maybe i could connect some of them then build a corporation relationship to have our kids get a stable source of reading. Keep in touch and thank again. IsAAc

I'm planning to go to Taiwan in Sep this year. But the plan is not fixed yet. If I really go there, I would love to bring you some books. Pls me know how you organise it, then I'll see how I can help.

hi there Isaac, actually there is a new mobile app in Indonesia that you can use. It is quite helpful for travelers also. check out www.neetip.com you can use it to ask a favor from traveler around the world, in this case, people who travels from indonesia to taiwan. i don't think they can deal with goods that already ready for pick up, but if you are asking favor to help buying books, then this might help. hope this piece of information helps.

Hi Isaac, What age range the kids have? I am starting a rotating library with my circle of friends (who have children or nephews or nieces) for children aged 0 to 6 years old at the moment so I've looked up some books to buy next month.
