Northern Light
In order to see the northern lights, the need to go beyond just the city, where the lights of the city are not visible, it needs to be partly cloudy. It is possible to go online and see if the chance is light or not. Here is example one site that has a measuring device in Mosfellsbæ, which is the next town to Reykjavik, if the line is direct, are not likely to see the light. http://www.raunvis.hi.is/~halo/leirvogur.html
