When are you coming? Because this weekend is the Cracow Gallery Weekend! A very fun experience every time.
If the weather is nice, go for a picnic on Kopiec Wandy (beautiful view of the city) or Zakrzówek.
Nice places to eat something and then have a drink are in Dolnych Młynów. Not as touristy as the Old Town, but only 10 minutes walk from there. Veganic offers great vegetarian cousine, if you're into that.
The noisy Kazimierz district is obviously cool, but just go to the other side of the river (Podgórze) and have a long walk. It's really nice! And there's a huge museum of a Polish theatre genius and a very original artist, Tadeusz Kantor. If you like 20th century art, you might be interested.
The Manngha Museum has some super interesting exhibitions on Buddhism right now. And there, you can have a coffee on the terrace and enjoy the view - or walk for about 5 min to Forum and have a drink and a pizza. Also with a view.
Oh, and Plac Szczepański. Fun events are sometimes happening in Bomba or Betel, so check it out.
I second Forum and Dolnych Mylnow/Tytano!
Two art galleries close to each other - Bunkier Sztuki and Palace of Fine Arts. Also pop into Bunkier cafe for great breakfast, lunch, snacks, extensive drinks menu, and top people-watching value in the Planty Park.
Cool hangouts: Massolit Books and Cafe, Tytano, Forum, Pod Baranami Piwnica, Betel, The Leaky Cauldron if you're a Harry Potter fan, lying on the grass by the river in front of the castle in the sun, Szal cafe has a terrace on top of the cloth hall with a good view, Alchemia, La Habana, Camelot...
If you're a fan of markets, check out Plac Nowy and Hala Targowa (best on Sunday). Oh and visit a milk bar! Cheap eats, no frills, totally Polish!
