Take a seat at Zoloti Vorota subway station go to Kharkivska station ( around 20 min) get out catch a bus to KBP (20 min)

Agnese, you should take a sky bus to Vokzalna metro station than go underground to Zoloti Vorota station. This is the best point to start walking trip.

If you want to choose something cheaper that taxi, I would suggest you to take Skybus (http://skybus.kiev.ua/en/airport.html), it willl take you to the central railway station. You can pay directly to the driver, in cash. From the station you can reach the center by feet if you're not in a hurry. You can pass or cross the small botanic garden and then go to Khreshchatyk or Golden Gates and so on, and walk back to the railway station when it's time to return. Or, if you want to visit some particular places and save time, you can take metro, the center is just few stations from the railway station.

And keep in mind - Kyiv is the city on the hills ! You have to go down and up all the time . That's something charming but takes time and energy. Keep it in mind !!

The best way is to take Skybus straidgt from the terminal. It leaves every half an hour, if I'm not mistaken. Go to the railway station, it's the final destination. Then you can either take the metro to Teatralna station or Poshtova Plosha. These are both good variants to start exploring the city

For expat - SkyBus is easier, fixed price, heading to metro or along the metro stations. Taxi in Kyiv is not English speaking in most cases. Just in case - Eng speaking one +38 044 248-8-248 (Elite Taxi) with cars in perfect conditions. Uber might be also a case, due to English... So SkyBus - then jump to the metro - and you are in Kyiv. Metro is easy - three lines, all bilingual, easy to understand. City center is all around the following metro stations: Khrestyatik, Maidan Nezalezhnosti (Independance Sq), Pochtova ploscha (near the river), Golden Gate (historikal, very old town), Lva tolstogo - and then walking distance to anywhere, Teatralna - Jump out on ANY of them - and you will be perfectly fine

Uber the easiest. Order it from terminal and it will show you where to go for pickup. $6-$9 is the price for uberX

Because of reconstruction Pivdennyi bridge, there is traffic jam and Skybus is not good idea from boryspil to city centre. You can get skybus only to Kharkivska metro station and that go to city centre by metro or get Uber to city centre(9-10 eur) and driver will drive around problem bridge

Uber is by far the most convenient option. It has a fixed price for the airport ride - approx 7.5 eur.
