Hotels advice!!!
Hi there!!! I am Angélica from Colombia, and I am going to Las Vegas with my family at the end of October... I wouls like and advice from you since you know the city... my family is deciding between stay at Strathosphere Hotel or Polo Towers hotel... which hotel is better for you? which one has a better location? thank you for your help and hope to see some of you in my visit, regards, ANGELICA

Same price. I pick Polo tower it is near more of the fun stuff.
Fremont street is more fun than the strip.
What's on Fremont Street?
Polo. Strat rooms not great and not in a great area. Polo closer to all the action and fun, better rooms too
Polo Hotel is best location if you want access to the strip. The Stratoshpere is along in an area that doesn't offer a lot or anything for that matter. If the price is the same, I'll go for the Polo
I would not pick either of those place find a better place on the strip or on Fremont
Both places are equal in everything. I would base my decision on room, wifi, and pool. I am not sure what the price is but I think AirBNB would have more options. If you stay at strat it is closer to old downtown, which is my fave place to go, however, I would not recommend walking from there. So your uber would be the same price at either place. Both are equal walking distance to shopping and good casinos. Strat is actually closer to outlet malls. Polo is closer to the Linq which has the high roller and a ton of bars and resturantes. You could make a case for either hotel so I would base my decision on price and accommodations.
It sucks though that there are few airbnb locations super close to strip. but sometimes it does save you a ton of cash.. beware the cheapest options. They're hostels and shared small rooms
Polo. Better location.
If prices are close then definitely Polo Towers as it is right in the middle of the strip. Stratosphere is very seedy and nothing between it and the heart of the strip or even Fremont (check Google Map), it is located between both but you will have to take a bus either way everytime. If you check ahead you will find good deals in other casinos (Tropicana, MGM, Treasure Island), but Polo Towers is good enough since you still have all the entertainment all around it. There is a bus line along the strip so you can go to Fremont street at night (Old Vegas, and more fun than the strip - between 8pm-midnight), where the best live music is, with three stages of local (good) bands.

Polo is in a better area . . I will be in Vegas from Oct 25 , and coming back to LA on Monday 28. If are they around the same time let me know , maybe we could meet
