Swimming Holes?
Can anyone tell me if there are any sweet swimming holes/cliff jumping around the Durham area? Other outdoor suggestions are welcome as well! Thanks!

yea - the duke quarry off sparger rd.
we had a couple of good CSer outings to the Eno Quarry this summer; they were posted here and on Activities ... one was followed by visit to brewery in Hillsboro ... nice! ... but if you go to Eno you need a Noodle or some kinda float to hangout in the very deep water and watch the jumpers.

It's always a great place for a CS outing so I created an event for this on Sunday the 18th - and anyone who wants to ride their bike from the Southpoint Mall area can meet at noon, and we'll reach the quarry by around 1:30 to meet everyone else there!

I came here to suggest the quarry and was pleased to see it suggested many times over. The Eno Quarry = Duke Quarry (It is actually a state park as part of the Eno River State Park) and located at the end of Howe St.
Yes floaty. Yes sun screen. Yes hiking shoes. No alcohol.
I'd definitely recommend Bobbitt's Hole at Eno River State Park!
