Hi there, apart from the dozens of kebabs, if you want to do charity and have a cheap no-frills full menu, you can try the https://www.tripadvisor.fr/Restaurant_Review-g187234-d9783498-Reviews-Forum_Jorge_Francois-Nice_French_Riviera_Cote_d_Azur_Provence.html It's a solidal restaurant -cash only- you'll get served by volounteers (mostly retired people), open lunch weekdays only. Full menu (bread+entree+dish+dessert+coffee) is 11 or 12€ can't remember, food is decent and extras are also cheap. Apart from live costs, earnings go to charity. Bon appetit!

May be if you stay on tourist places prices could be high for nothing but in other places it is easy to find good food for less expensive. Try the followings : "Le Gesus" in the old city just in front of the Gesus chirch. "Brasserie l'Union" 1 rue Michelet (tram station Valrose université ) "Brasserie le Gambetta" place Général de Gaulle (tram station Liberation) Restaurant "Le Saetone" 8 rue Alsace Lorraine in the vicinity of the railway station. Several restaurants rue Biscarra (tram station Jean Médecin) the street left of the shopping mall Nice Etoile) ........ and many many similar places that clever travellers can find by themselves.
Hello! I live in Nice since 2012 and to eat not expensive you have kebab, sandwich and Chinese. You have restaurants like McDonald's, KFC, Subway. Anyway you can see other restaurants but outside The Old Town. For that pleas download La Fourchette app.
