I only knew that from Malaysia - Dannok/Hat Yai , you will just ride a bus and approximately time travel is 6hrs., and I think from Hat Yai u can ride bus again to BKK center.

Hi, there will be a train (KTM) to Thailand. I tried last time from Penang, Malaysia to Bangkok, Thailand. It costs around Rm150+ (1100baht+)I can't remember the exact price sorry haha but you can check it online. You can just sleep in the train it is a nice experience! Have fun!

You can take overnight train from Padang Besar (Malaysia) to Bangkok. The journey will take around 16hours. But dont worry, it is sleeping coach. The fare around RM 120++. If you have plenty of time, I recommend this. Have a safe journey.
other than train, you can take bus from Malaysia to Hatyai. Then, from Hatyai you can proceed to Bangkok either by bus or train.
If you wanna take bus from Kuala Lumpur to Hatyai, you can go to Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (main bus station in KL). To reach Terminal Bersepadu Selatan, you can take LRT to Bandar Tasek Selatan Station. The Bus terminal is just beside the LRT Station
