What are local places not to miss?
I am excited that in Aug. I am going to Portland for the first time. I plan on going to the Tiny Hotel & Powell's. Any place else? Eats to have? Best winery?
Thanks!

Awesome! Which food cards are your fave?
A food cart with sheltered seating on west side of SE 82nd Avenue, between the Hong Phat grocery and the "Truck Shop," on Ash St. CASH only. Authentic Mexican food choices.
Cartlandia! And you should check out the ones on SE 11th and Hawthorne, which are probably more convenient. I like Potato Champion.
Salt & Straw has amazing ice cream. My foodie friends who were laughing at the line found themselves waiting in it twice because they were so in love with the ice cream! If you're into doughnuts, Voodoo and/or Blue Star. Not sure about wineries which are mostly south of Portland. You can get plenty of beer and locally made spirits in the SE area though. Google Distillery Row or Brewery Row and you'll find all the locations.
I still would take our BiRite over your Salt & Straw. But..it was a good try. A very nice try.
Back to Edan bakery! Vegan and gf. Great food! Mt Tabor park. Beautiful views!

August is the month of the free Shakespeare performances in the parks, at vineyards and other nice venues! How about picking up your dinner at the food carts and then eating it while you watch "Love's Labours Lost"? Just bring a blanket or chairs to sit on. Here is the schedule:
