Re-locating Q's & A's Helping fellow CSers moving to new States

If you're in need of tips, advice, a friendly CSer to welcome you to a new town then this is the place. Post up your current and soon-to-be home states and hopefully we can begin a somewhat more personal and interactive version of the standard 'relocating guides' offered by counties chamber of commerce. Day cares, libraries, coffee shops, hidden scenic gems only locals know about... My 2 and 3 year olds and I are moving to Seattle,WA soon, what can anyone recommend to make our transition a happy one. Any single parents?

advice on movers - moving from NYC to Austin

Hey folks, can any of you recommend moving companies? UHaul is very expensive, and I want to see how movers compare.
