I could offer a couch in Wädenswil (about 20 km from Lachen) and I am not sure but check it out: Someone told me once that this way is also leading through Wädenswil...

I can offer a couch in Rapperswil-Jona, that's close to Lachen, but on the other side of the lake.

Our house is sort of on the path :) Our town is called Dicken and is only slightly off route on the Herisau-Wattwil section of the trail. Instead of walking down to St Peterzell, you can take a small detour to Dicken via Chäseren. St Peterzell is 30 minutes away on the paved road or you take the more scenic route up to Wilket and then down into the valley (about 1 hour).

Hello Regina My home is in Eschenbach which is right at Jakobsweg. From here it is about 10 km where you cross Lake Zurich. Lachen is on the other side of the lake but actually not directly along the path. I offer my guestroom to couch surfer
