Train Rzeszow/Przemysl-Lvov Travelling with a young child

Hi Im arriving to Rzeszow and would like to book tickets in advance for the train, Rzeszow or Przemysl to Lvov. I dont seem to be able to purchase tickets using the Interail.pl site. Im assuming tickets can only be bought in person is this correct? A much more more expensive but alternative seems to be Polrail. Alternatively i suppose could take the bus from Rzeszow to Lvov but I've heard of 11 hour delays at the border in some cases. With a child this is not going to be comfortable. Any advice on the matter?

Have you thought about crossing the border on foot? I think it's the cheapest way. Train from Rzeszów to Przemyśl, then bus from Rzeszów to Medyka (once in half an hour if I remember correctly), then border on foot, then bus (marszrutka) from the border to Lviv. Your kid can have some rest between the stops. :) Have fun :)

Yes i did think about it, is there usually a long queue at this border? I heard the train goes straight through with passport control on the train..but there are long queues sometimes at the border..
