There are a lot of ads for pet sitters on Craigslist. There is one company in particular advertising right now that you may like, which requires playing with the dog and staying for at least a half an hour even when you are only hired for doing "check-in visits" (the ones that would normally consist basically of filling the bowls and letting the dog in the backyard for five minutes) while the owner is on vacation. There is no cheap food anywhere besides the fast food restaurants, unless youean grocery stores in which case there is Fruitful Yield near Golf & Higgins, Ultra Foods in Prospect Heights, Meijer, and Fresh Market in Wheeling (which is not the same brand as any other fresh Market so don't go to those insanely even-worse-then-Whole-Foods places), or unless you want to go all the way to Rand & Dundee for Nonno's pizza restaurantrestaurant, or that one weird-named take-out restaurant in Wheeling but it isn't made very good at all. Really if you have some money but dont want to pay for more expensive stuff then just use Groupon and their other sites. If you're looking for the "funny" "America, Fuck Yeah" shockumentary concoctions restaurants, those are in Chicago and there are hundreds so just like Yelp random places or something. Cheesies in Lakeview is strangely awesome in taste, but is ridiculously money-grubbing in prices and in treatment by some employees. I think they don't even have pop refills!
